It’s finally time to place your order with Black Ice Bikinis… You can almost see the finish line and are weeks away from stepping on stage in your beautiful custom-made suit, but maybe you’re a little unsure on how to place your order?
Here at Black Ice Bikinis we’ve designed our website to make it as simple as possible for you to order your dream suit giving you one less stress to worry about during prep. We offer a wide range of designs to suit all budgets and each one can be customised to your preferred colour and styling choice through our on site Bikini Builder.
We categorise our bikinis by levels. The levels refer to the desired crystal coverage for your chosen bikini. Level 1 would be up to ¼ coverage, Level 2 being ½ coverage, Level 3 being ¾ coverage and Level 4 being full coverage. We also offer plain bikinis under our Basic Bikini category which allows competitors to decorate the bikinis themselves. Each level has a starting price which is displayed underneath the design, as you work through the Bikini Builder you can purchase upgrades to change and alter the look of your bikini to truly make it your own.
Once you have selected your design ofchoice, simply click the picture to open up a new page and start to build your bikini.
Step 1: Choose whether you require a bikini or figure suit. If unsure you should discuss this with your coach or check your chosen federation’s rules.
Step 2: Select your cup shape and size. We offer three different bikini top styles, all of which can be viewed on our sizing page. We highly recommend that you check our sizing charts before selecting your cup size as you may come up a different size to what you typically wear.
Step 3 & 4: Knicker Front & Back, again you can view all the different styles we offer on the sizing page and each one offers a description to help you choose the right style for your body shape.
Step 5: This is where you select your fabrics. Be sure to view all the options we offer on the Fabrics tab under the ‘Design Your Suit’ drop down list. If you don’t see a fabric that you’ve been thinking of contact Mandie as she may be able to work her magic and find it.
Step 6 & 7: Selecting the connectors for your bra. Here you can choose any of the diamante connectors we offer for the neck straps and between the cups, alternatively you can choose none and we will apply crystals to match your chosen design.
Step 8: If you chose the Connector Style Knickers then this is where you make your selection for the connectors. If you chose to have full fabric knickers then select none and click next.
Step 9: The next few steps will depend on the design you chose, as this is where you complete your design with crystal colours you want. Each design will give you a description of how many crystal colours you can select and the order in which to select them.
Final Step: Turnaround. Our standard turnaround time is 6 weeks however we do offer a 2 week rush service at an additional cost. Alternatively, if you’re super organised and like to get your bikini ordered early you can place your bikini on hold until 2 weeks out from your show. Whether you choose to place your bikini on hold or the standard turnaround option we will always ask for updated measurements before sending/collection. The only time we don’t is on the rush service.
If you have a design in mind that you don’t see on the website simply head over to the contact page and email Mandie to discuss your design. Once you have both finalised all the styling details select the “Custom Bikini” option within your desired level and follow the bikini builder steps as mentioned above. You’ll notice the crystal options will be missing from this step but no need to worry as you will have discussed all this with Mandie.
Now you’ve completed all the bikini builder steps you’ll need to scroll down and input your show information & measurements. Again, we ask you to refer back to the sizing page and watch the video which will show you how to take all required measurements. Don’t worry if you think your measurements will change, we know this will most likely happen however we do require initial measurements to start the bikini making process and then we will request new measurements either 4 weeks after you submit your order or 4 weeks out depending on the turnaround selection you made.
Finally choose whether to make your payment in full or take advantage of our deposit scheme. With this we only ask for 50% of your bikini cost at checkout to confirm your order and the balance being requested when the bikini is ready to be shipped or collected.
